I love the maestro. He's the director of everything that comes out of an orchestra. You have a score and you have musicians, but he's the guy who puts it all in place, and really, it's his sound you hear. Think about an orchestra. It's a hundred people all playing different instruments and different parts of the music. He has to be able to hear every instrument and every note, and he has to adjust all of them to create the whole. He fits them all together to shape the sound, and he gets that response just by the movement of his hands! It's a whole different kind of art, and I think when it's done right, it's one of the most beautiful things in the world. - GIB SINGLETON
